MAKING A DIFFERENCE, ONE BOOK, ONE PENNY AT A TIME!
Each item that is sold in the bookstore is not purchased, but donated by the general public to be reused for someone else’s reading enjoyment. The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle concept is greatly practiced in the Friend’s Bookstore with everything from books, to videos, to magazines and even the occasional games being part of the selection of items available for you to purchase. Items are always flying off the shelf faster than we can keep them on there, so never hesitate to bring your items by and donate them to be bought and enjoyed by others. Donations for The Friend’s Bookstore are accepted during normal operating hours at The Robert J. Kleberg Public Library, with each donation considered a Tax Deduction able to be claimed on your IRS Tax Form.
While on the subject of donations, make sure to also throw that extra change (you know what we are talking about – those 1,000 unwanted pennies you carry with you) into The Friend’s Donation Drop Box when you visit The Robert J. Kleberg Public Library. Donations placed into the drop box are collected and added to the supporting funds that are used to help defray operating costs and purchasing expenditures that The Robert J. Kleberg Public Library incurs. Remember – every last penny counts at The Place to Be!
